In both size and significance Hebron Town Hall stands out among the civic structures that dot the agricultural landscape of southeastern Wisconsin. Built in a modest adaptation of the Classical Revival style, the hall is richly embellished compared to most Wisconsin town halls. Standing atop a foundation of locally gathered fieldstone and constructed largely by the hands of Hebron's citizens, the Town Hall is a modern day reminder of the centrality and relative autonomy of village life in agricultural regions of Wisconsin. Its architecture reflects a cosmopolitan style of civic construction that characterized American architecture in the early twentieth century.

The interior is distinguished by extensive use of intricately patterned pressed metal on both walls and ceilings. Built with a fully equipped kitchen, auditorium and stage boasting an Art Deco style stage curtain, Hebron Town Hall served many purposes ranging from electoral polling and town governance to dances, plays and art exhibits. Existing as the central community space throughout much of the twentieth century, the Town Hall was a primary engine of civic enterprise and involvement.

With agricultural consolidation sweeping across Wisconsin's modern landscape and village commercial life declining in the face of larger towns and stores, the village of Hebron has suffered a dwindling economic base and altered social structure. Vacated in 1981, Hebron's Town Hall no longer retains the civic importance it once held. It now serves a new use as a museum for the Bark River Woods Historical Society.

The Hebron Town Hall is open for special occasions and a yearly pie social.
