Summary

Located along and adjacent to the heart of the central business area, this seven-block district includes 38 commercial, civic, and converted residential buildings designed between 1865 and 1935 in Italianate, Queen Anne, and Classical Revival styles. The mostly two-story buildings were constructed of locally quarried, grey limestone or cream brick.
