BRACKETED EAVES. MOULDED WINDOW AND DOOR HOODS. 2 STORY SIDE BAY. MOVED FROM 1039 LAKE AVENUE TO PRESENT LOCATION IN 1918. South Side Historic District Walking Tour Guide, 1993: "It was built by Anson and Amanda Kellogg. He was a downtown bookseller and stationer. In 1910 William Thompson, a local attorney, bought this house and a much larger one that once stood just to the north of it on Lake Ave. He moved into the larger house and in 1918 he moved this one here, probably because it stood too close to his own house." |
