The De Pere AMSA (Area Maintenance Support Activity) consists of one building on an acre of land in De Pere, Wisconsin. The area immediately surrounding the building is covered by asphalt or concrete. The land has been significantly altered by construction activities and grading for parking areas. The facility is located in a commercial area. A records search at the Wisconsin State Historic Preservation Office revealed four archaeological sites (47-BR-92, 47-BR-118, 47-BR-126, and 47-BR-147) within a one-mile radius of the facility. De Pere AMSA property has been heavily disturbed by construction activities, with much of the property paved or graded. An on-site assessment determined that there is a low probability of extant archaeological remains on the property. The facility was leased by the U.S. Government and controlled by the 88th RSC until the lease was terminated on 5 April 1998. De Pere AMSA consists of one building. The building is in good condition, and there appear to have been no significant modifications to the building since its original construction. This building does not appear to exhibit any significant architectural character or merit. Constructed in 1976, it is a one-story rectangular building that rests on a poured concrete foundation and has concrete block walls with a yellow brick veneer. A metal overhead-retractable bay door and a metal pedestrian door are located on the north and south walls. Fenestration consists of small, recessed, fixed windows and three vertically placed windows at each of the buildings corners. A flat roof covers the structure. |
