1998- Menasha USARC consists of two buildings located on 2.21 acres of land in Menasha, Wisconsin. The area immediately surrounding the facility is covered by asphalt or concrete, with some landscaped areas. The land has been significantly altered by construction activities and grading for parking areas. The facility is located in a residential/recreational area near the mouth of the Fox River. Menasha USARC consists of a training building and a vehicle maintenance shop (Organizational Maintenance Shop or OMS in Army Reserve terminology). The buildings are in good condition and do not appear to have been extensively modified since their original construction. Neither of the buildings exhibit significant architectural character or merit. The maintenance building functions as a vehicle maintenance facility for Menasha USARC. Constructed in 1959, it is a one-story rectangular building that rests on a poured concrete floor and has concrete block walls. Pilasters are located around the perimeter of the building. Two metal overhead-retractable bay doors are located on the north wall. A single metal pedestrian door is located on the south and east walls. Two sets of windows are located on the south wall. A shed roof covers the structure. 2009--No apparent exterior changes to the facility since it was last surveyed in 1998. |
