Additional Comments Surveyed 2020: This simple, two story, commercial vernacular building was constructed between 1904 and 1913 of brick laid in a running bond. It is a rectangular structure, the length of which is perpendicular to North Water Street. All windows are one-light-over-one-light set in wooden surrounds with carved stone sills and window heads. The main entrance is recessed and set in the building’s northeast, canted corner. It has a modern door surrounded by sheet metal which likely obscures the height of the original door. Above the door and even with the outer wall is a transom-like window with a stone sill and window head. To the right (west) of and adjacent to the canted corner and the doorway, in the north wall, is two pane window with sheathing above and below. It is possible that the sheathing was introduced at some point to reduce the size of the window. Centered on the first floor of the east sidewall are two windows. All windows on the second floor are symmetrically placed, two on the north endwall, one in the canted corner wall over the entranceway and six on the east sidewall. A cornice of corbeled bricks is immediately above the windows, above which is band of limestone. A parapet capped with concrete coping crowns the building.
