| Additional Comments | 2023: The former Thorp Financial Corporation building is a one-story, Contemporary-style, commercial building constructed c.1965. The L-plan building is of concrete-block construction with a concrete foundation and is clad in a brick veneer on the front (east) facade and side (north) elevation. It has a flat roof with slight metal parapet. A two-car garage with sectional doors is on the rear (west) elevation. An offset recessed entry is on the facade with accent stone cladding and a triangular stone planter. The entrance is a single-leaf door with a transom flanked by large storefront windows. The remaining windows are three-part, fixed pane, metal sash with concrete sills. Newspaper research revealed Thorp Financial Corporation operated in this building from 1965 until 1995, at which point Emmons-Napp Office Products occupied the building. H & R Block occupied the building by 2001. |
