ARCHITECTURAL STATEMENT: THE BASIC DESIGN OF THIS TWO AND ONE HALF STORY FRAME HOUSE WAS POPULAR IN OSHKOSH IN THE EARLY 1900'S. A MORE FINELY DETAILED EXAMPLE IS LOCATED AT 1600 ALGOMA (WN27/33). THE MAIN GABLE OF THE HOUSE IS PARALELL TO THE STREET. SECONDARY GABLE FRONTS ALSO FACE THE STREET. A DENTICULATED CORNICE SURROUND THE BUILDING. HISTORICAL STATEMENT: CHESTER H. LARABEE APPEARED TO HAVE OWNED THE HOUSE IN 1900. LARABEE WAS THE SUPERVISOR OF THE SAWMILL AT PAINE LUMBER. (A) |
