Additional Comments A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. ARCHITECTURAL STATEMENT: THIS FRAME HOUSE IS COVERED WITH CLAPBOARDS TO THE ROOF LINE, AND SHINGLES IN THE GABLES. THE SHINGLES IN TH FRONT GABLE FLARE TO MEET THE EAVE LINE WHICH IS DECORATED WITH MODILLIONS. A SEMICIRCULAR WINDOW DOMINATES THE GABLE END. A SMALL DORMER BALANCES THE COMPOSITION AS DOES THE PORCH WHICH EXTENDS ACROSS THE FACADE. THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF THE VERY RESTRAINED COLONIAL REVIVAL POPULAR IN OSHKOSH. HISTORICAL STATEMENT: WILLIAM C. BOUCK WAS A LOCAL ATTORNEY AND PARTNER IN THE BOUCK AND HILTON LAW FIRM. HE WAS THE SON OF GABRIEL BOUCK, NOTED POLITICAL AND MILITARY FIGURE IN THE NINETEENTH CENTURY. (C)
