Additional Comments Gable roofed one and a half story house with multiple roof dormers, outside wall chimney, six over six windows and classical influence frontispiece with overlights above the door.

2015- "The Cape Cod style is a smaller, less decorative interpretation of the larger, higher style Colonial Revival. The Cape Cod is typically seen with a side-gabled square or rectangular mass, central entry, evenly spaced multi-paned windows and gable roof with two or more dormers. Most Cape Cod residences have only one-and-a-half stories. Decorative detail for the Cape Cod is often limited to the frontispiece (front door surround). The frontispiece often incorporates a pediment supported by pilasters, dentiling along the cornice or entablature above the door and sidelights flanking the main entry door.

Cape Cod homes were popular in the Midwest in the 1920s-1940s. By the 1950s, the Ranch style was the typical middle-class family home."
