George Trogner was the builder. BAY ON CNR. PALLADIAN MOTIF WINDOW ON FRONT. 2016- "George Lloyd was born in 1839 in Lake County, Ohio. At the age of 20 he travelled to Colorado to search for gold. Being unsuccessful in the gold fields he decided to join his brother on his farm in Loyal, WI. He worked his way into the lumber industry where he was very successful and also owned a hardware store. In its early days, the home had a formal garden designed by the horticulture department of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The O'Neill, Dewhurst-Hemple and Cornelius mansions were other residences which benefitted from the gardens planned by the same horticulture department at Madison. George worked with other Neillsville leaders to bring the railroad to Neillsville. the home is the same floor plan as the Dickinson House but constructed in brick.
