626 South Eastern Avenue Harry and Alice Prior House This one-story, front-gabled, frame Craftsman house was built in 1926 for Harry and Alice Prior (Rhinelander telephone books). The house is finished with narrow clapboards, and has a cut-away, full-facade front porch with cast concrete block closed rails, and compound wood posts. The house has exposed rafters and brackets with knee braces. Harry Prior, who was a barber, lived in this house until at least 1953. From at least 1953 until at least 1991, it was the home of Florence (Robert) Evers (Rhinelander City Directories). |
