Need help applying for grant funding? Learn how to apply for a mini-grant from the Wisconsin Historical Society and Wisconsin Council for Local History.

Mini-Grant Funding Available for Wisconsin Historical Society Affiliates

Do you have a project that needs funding support? Each spring, affiliates can apply for grants up to $700 for projects and activities that support collections care and management. Mini-grant application materials for 2020 grants are due May 15, 2020.

Mini-Grant Resources:

The Wisconsin Historical Society and Wisconsin Council for Local History are pleased to announce that 18 affiliated local historical societies received a total of $10,127 through the 2019 mini-grant program.

Recipients of the 2019 mini-grant included: Bayfield Maritime Museum, Birchwood Area Historical Society, Bruce Area Historical Society, Caledonia Historical Society, Columbus Area Historical Society, Douglas County Historical Society, Fairchild Area Historical Society, Gordon-Wascott Historical Society, Grantsburg Area Historical Society, Kingston Historical Preservation Society, Madison Trust for Historic Preservation, Manitowoc County Historical Society, Mining & Rollo Jamison Museums, Mondovi Area Historical Society, New Richmond Preservation Society, Oakfield Area Historical Society, Shawano County Historical Society, and Wauwatosa Historical Society.
