| Additional Comments | This two-story Vernacular building was constructed in 1911 as New Lisbon’s Municipal Water Works with a substantial addition constructed the mid-twentieth century. The building is rectangular in plan with brick walls and a flat roof. The front elevation faces south and is asymmetrical in composition. The original building mass is located near the center of the complex; the only visible portion of the original building is the second story which contains a centrally-placed round window with a corbelled brick cornice above. The remainder of the façade consists of a one-story extension containing pairs of single-pane windows with brick corbelling above. A metal-framed glass door near the center of the extension is sheltered under a flat roof with squared supports. The eastern half of the building complex is comprised of a large garage addition containing four small, multi-pane windows in its southern wall and a series of garage doors in its eastern wall. The building most recently served as the local police department. |
