WHRAB Travel and Conference Scholarship | Wisconsin Historical Society

The Wisconsin Historical Records Advisory Board (WHRAB), in conjunction with the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC) has allocated scholarship
aid to support continuing archival education for graduate students and archivists.

The WHRAB will award scholarships assisting individuals to attend:

Eligibility

  • Graduate students enrolled in a Wisconsin institution of higher education
  • Individuals currently working (or volunteering) in a Wisconsin repository, library, and/or local historical society.

Recipients are eligible for a WHRAB scholarship no more than once each calendar year, and recipients must use the funds to attend one conference indicated above. No advanced payments will be made; recipients will be reimbursed for conference-related expenses supported by documentation. Recipients are solely responsible for any tax obligations.

How to Apply

The WHRAB is currently accepting applications for scholarships to attend the Wisconsin Historical Society’s 2021 Local History and Historic Preservation Conference. The conference will be held virtually from October 20-22. To be considered for the scholarship, the application should be received no later than Friday, October 1. Recipients will be notified by email of their status by Monday, October 11. 

The WHRAB will register recipients for the conference.
