It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. 2011- "Built c.1900, the 2-story machine shop (2102 Northwestern Ave.) is rectangular in plan with cream brick walls and a flat roof. The front elevation faces northwest and is asymmetrical in plan with a parapet that features the corbelled corner capitals and cornice featured on the original two factory buildings. The rear (southeast) elevation features an identical parapet. A single door has been added in one of the second story window openings. At the western corner of the front elevation is a small projecting mass with a single door on its southwest side. All of the original segmental-arched window openings in this building have been boarded over. Pairs of wooden carriage doors are located in the center of the northwest elevation and near the northern end of the southwest elevation. A concrete ramp and platform are located along the southwest elevation." -"Horlick Industrial Historic Districkt", WisDOT #2290-17-00, Prepared by GLARC (Gail Klein), (2011). |
