A description of Wisconsin's Model Academic Standards

In 1997, Governor Tommy Thompson introduced Wisconsin's Council on Model Academic Standards, which imposed high academic performance standards for all students. This site, from the Department of Public Instruction, explains the standards for core areas (english, mathematics, science, and social studies) as well as some other fields such as environmental education and business. The two executive orders that created and approved these standards can also be found here.
